Hello or Bonjour as they say around here!
This is me and my gorgeous boy Merlin taken a few weeks ago on the beach at the Mediterranean. Dogs aren't normally allowed on the beaches but out of season on a blowy Sunday afternoon we can sneak on for a play in the surf and a dig in the sand.
I'm starting this blog (rather late into my business and I guess for the most part my life) to share a little of what it is like to have four children, two dogs, a long suffering husband and to be living in a country other than the one you were raised in.
I'm English, born in the Midlands and lived there until 2011 when my husband had the chance of a secondment to the South West of France and the city of Toulouse. We jumped at the chance so up-sticks and off we went...
To move here I gave up a business I had started in 2008 which was selling cloth (washable) nappies. The French you see are not as open to the idea as the British and distance selling was not something I wanted to do as much of my work was face-to-face advise and demonstrations. I had a lot of time on my hands and so I started fiddling around with a few mediums; jewelry, wood, paint and finally I started sewing.
La Petite Maison Blanc was born in the Spring of 2012.

I want to share my thoughts on the handcrafted industry with you, show you how some of our best selling gift items are made and also show you a little of our lives. I guess we'll cover hand made, how-to guides and travel!Talk to me!
